Terms of Service
Last updated: May 26, 2026
Welcome to IDProt.com. By accessing or using our website, mobile experience, or any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using IDProt.com, you represent that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
2. What IDProt Does
IDProt scans publicly known data-breach databases and other available sources for records matching the email address or other information you provide, shows you what was found, gives you step-by-step guidance to secure your accounts, and monitors for new exposures while your subscription is active.
IDProt is a monitoring and information service. We are not a credit bureau, a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ("FCRA"), a law firm, an insurer, or a security provider. We cannot remove your data from a breach that already happened, and we cannot guarantee that we will detect every exposure. Nothing on the Service is legal, financial, or professional advice.
FCRA notice: The Service and any information it provides are not "consumer reports" as defined by the FCRA, and IDProt is not a consumer reporting agency. You may not use the Service or its results, in whole or in part, to make decisions about a person's eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, housing, government benefits, or any other purpose regulated by the FCRA. Doing so is a violation of these Terms and may violate federal and state law.
3. Subscriptions, Billing, and Auto-Renewal
IDProt.com is offered as a recurring paid subscription. By starting a plan you expressly authorize us (and our payment processor, Stripe) to charge your payment method on the terms below.
3.1 Plans and pricing
- IDProt Protection: $1.95 for a 7-day trial, then auto-renews at $24.95 every 28 days until you cancel.
- All prices are in USD and exclude applicable taxes, which will be added at checkout where required.
- Promotional or discounted pricing applies only to the first billing period unless explicitly stated otherwise.
- Charges appear on your statement as IDPROT.COM.
3.2 Authorization and automatic renewal
By completing checkout, you authorize IDProt.com to automatically charge your payment method $1.95 today for your 7-day trial and then $24.95 at the end of the trial and every 28 days thereafter, on a recurring basis, until you cancel. Your subscription will continue and renew automatically without further action from you.
3.3 Payment methods
You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate payment information and to keep it updated. If a payment fails, we may retry the charge, suspend your access, and/or pursue collection of amounts owed. If a $24.95 renewal is declined for insufficient funds or a similar limit, you authorize us to instead charge a reduced rate of $14.95. If that charge succeeds, your subscription will continue at the reduced rate of $14.95 every 28 days, on a recurring basis, until you cancel. You are responsible for all charges incurred under your account.
3.4 Price changes
We may change subscription prices from time to time. We will notify you of any price change at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you do not agree to the new price, you may cancel before the change takes effect.
3.5 Cancellation
You can cancel at any time from your account page, on our cancellation page, or by emailing idprothelp@gmail.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you will retain access until then and will not be charged again. To avoid the next charge, cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date.
3.6 Refunds
Refunds are handled per our Refund Policy. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and we do not provide refunds or credits for partially used billing periods.
3.7 Trials and promotions
Your 7-day trial for $1.95 automatically converts to a full paid subscription at $24.95 every 28 days unless you cancel before the trial ends. Only one trial or introductory offer per customer, and only one active subscription per customer, unless we say otherwise.
3.8 Chargebacks
Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank. Filing a chargeback for valid recurring charges may result in immediate termination of your account and collection of any amounts owed.
4. Your Account and Security
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at idprothelp@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Service, scan email addresses or personal information that do not belong to you and that you are not authorized to check, attempt to access the Service through unauthorized means, scrape or resell results, or use the Service for harassment, stalking, or any unlawful purpose.
6. Privacy and Your Data
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we use it. In short:
- We collect the email address and details you submit for scanning, your account information, and basic usage data.
- Payment card details are collected and stored by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
- We use breach-data sources and service providers (hosting, email, analytics, payments) to operate the Service.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- You may request access to or deletion of your data by emailing idprothelp@gmail.com.
7. Communications
By creating an account you agree to receive service-related emails, including breach alerts, billing notices, and account updates. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time; transactional and billing emails are required while your account is active.
8. Intellectual Property
All content, branding, and software on the Service are owned by IDProt.com or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
9. Accuracy of Results
Scan results and risk ratings are informational estimates based on third-party breach data available to us at the time of the scan. They may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate, and the absence of a result does not mean your information is safe. Results must not be used for credit, employment, insurance, housing, legal, or other eligibility decisions. See our Disclaimer for more detail.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will prevent identity theft or fraud.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, IDProt.com shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from identity theft, fraud, or unauthorized use of your information. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for any violation of these Terms.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
13.1 Binding arbitration
Except for claims that qualify for small-claims court and requests for injunctive relief to protect intellectual property, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court. The arbitration will be conducted by a single arbitrator, may be conducted by telephone, video, or written submissions, and judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.
13.2 Class action waiver
You and IDProt.com agree that each may bring claims against the other only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, consolidated, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims and may not preside over any form of representative or class proceeding.
13.3 Opt-out
You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing idprothelp@gmail.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, with the subject "Arbitration Opt-Out" and your account email. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
